Having traveled around Australia ourselves with three children and a dog, we understood the need for good quality accommodation for pet owning families. We have designed our cottage to make holidaying with or without children (and fur kids) a pleasure for everybody. Children can escape to the toy filled loft while parents doze in the hammocks or watch a movie. Dogs (and cats, snakes, birds, guinea-pigs etc) are welcome in all of the cottage but are generally content to look down on the cows from their velvet bean bag.
Accommodation consists of an open plan living and kitchen/dining area, two bedrooms (one with a little loft) and a bathroom, all joined together by wide verandas. There are roll down clears to include the decks in the case of bad weather – this gives you a large living/playing area.
The living area has reverse cycle aircon, a wood burning fire, TV, DVD player and selection of movies , books and games.
The decks are equipped with easy chairs, a brazier in the winter, log basket, a hammock, a small table and an electric barbeque.
The bedrooms have reverse cycle aircon.
One bedroom has a Queen sized bed, the other has two singles and the loft has a standard double mattress. All beds have good quality linen, pillow toppers and electric blankets. A portacot can be provided if need be and as the cottage was built with families in mind, the wall between the two bedrooms does not extend all the way up into the roof pitch. This is so that parents can talk to their children to reassure them (or tell them to go to sleep!)
The bathroom has a double spa bath as well as all of the usual conveniences. Good towels, robes, soaps, bubble bath, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer and brush, candles and fresh flowers are all included.
The kitchen has a fridge, gas oven with gas cook tops and a microwave.
We leave you with plenty of food in case you get hungry and all the usual kitchen paraphernalia is included too (pots and pans, salt and pepper, china, foil, baking paper etc..)
